    Where is Solitaire?

Actually mine is found at START/Games/Solitaire but what I really want is the file address so I can make a link to it from another program. I finally located it in WINDOWS/System32/Sol.exe. That should do it. Thanks to both for the leads. John

    Where is Solitaire?

I thought MS included a few games in Accessories/Games but I guess I am mistaken. Not there on my XP installion. Looked on the install disc but didn't find it. This must be a dumb question but an hour of looking around was fruitless. TIA, John

Need batch file to move shortcut from CD to Desktop

Marcs41, You are right, I didn't read the fine print. Missed that crucial step. Anyway we found it. And thanks for the naming tips in your last post. I am grateful for the time you spent helping. Just before your last post a friend of mine emailed me what turns out to be a definitive...

Need batch file to move shortcut from CD to Desktop

Linney - Thanks for the tip but the block is not checked. Maybe XP is not so easily fooled. Marcs41 - Trouble here too. The batch file containing copy *.lnk C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop didn't work due to "improper" syntax warning in DOS mode. I did send to D:\temp as...

Need batch file to move shortcut from CD to Desktop

I got it! On inspiration I went to the DOS prompt and lo and behold the lnk extension appeared. I think I can handle it now. Windows wouldn't tell me anything more than it was a "shortcut". Thanks for the lead. John

Need batch file to move shortcut from CD to Desktop

Thanks for the super quick help. It sounds easy but a problem. When I look in C:\Document and Settings\username\Desktop the files do not have extensions. Even looking with "details". What am I doing wrong. John

Need batch file to move shortcut from CD to Desktop

I have a CD I distribute to users. I have a .BAT file (old fashioned perhaps) to make a folder on C:\ and copy *.* files to it from the CD. One last problem I have is another command line to send a shortcut from the CD to the desktop. This might be easier if MS didn't have user desktops but...

    Maximum number of records?

I will be using split only so I guess storage capacity is the only limitation.

    Maximum number of records?

Thanks Paul, will look up specs. 2MB is probably an unsplit application? John

    Maximum number of records?

What is the maximum number of records you can use in Access 2000 on a large XP system? Is it just limited by hard disk or is there a limit? TIA, John

Thanks MP9, I'll gie it a try and let you know. I have installed the NotePad command button the easy way on a near duplicate application which was not yet split and it worked fine. John
