I have the same problem after installing and deinstalling some midi software.
I will check for NTP later but I think somehow the registry has been corrupted to some extent.

I have a database that I would like to drop but at some point the device for this database was physically deleted from the file system.
I've tried all sorts of things but it doesn't seem like Sybase will let me do anything with this database.

Every so often (every few months) I get the message that my /var system is full.
Can somone tell me which files are safe to clear (zero) out.
I have cleared some files that I read were safe to clear but am still showing 100% used.

As you can see by the date on my post it was quite a ways back and yes we did resolve the problem. If I remember correctly it had to do with a specific .dll in Sql Server 2000. Once we updated that things were fine. The reports were originally developed against Sql Server 7.

We are using CR7 and have 5 reports, each of which use the same dictionary file. 4 of the reports will run but the 5th one generates an error:
General SQL Server Error
click<OK>
Error Detected by Daytabase DLL.
These reports do run on another company's system and they can not explain to...
I am getting this error when trying to run 1 of four Seagate crystal reports. The other three work fine.
Using 'xpstar.dll' version '2000.80.194' to execute
extended stored procedure 'sp_MSgetversion'.
Any help would be appreciated.
