Hi. Booting to Win98 disk would not see the hard drive. It's because it is a RAID array. It is not seen as a drive by the system.
A friend suggested I go to the motherboard's website and download their driver onto a floppy disk. I did get it working. I should have thought of doing that...
You may just need to assign a drive letter.
Right-click your my computer icon, and select "Manage". In the left pane of the window that appears, select the Disk Management option.
You should then see a layout of your physical drives and partitions. Right click your big partition...
Hi
My motherboard is the ASUS P4C800 Deluxe, and I have two hard drives connected to the RAID controller, one is a WD 120GB parallel ATA drive and the other a WD 120GB serial ATA drive. The motherboard has an AMI BIOS and uses the Fast-Trak Fast-Build RAID utility.
The store that built my...
Hi all-
I tried wiping all my network configs: I cleared every protocol, client, service, etc. out of my network control panel, then restarted. Then I reinstalled my NIC.
Next I put TCP/IP back in and assigned a static IP for the NIC (192.168.0.1).
Then I added the "Dial Up...
Thanks crazy888s for your suggestion. I will try that today or tomorrow, and I think that it will probably work!
Question: why do I need to bridge my 1394 connection? I have 2 1394 connections, one of which I use for a digitial camcorder. I shouldn't need to do that should I?
I know the...
I followed your above suggestions. My router's SPI is now off, and its internal IP address is 192.168.0.254. It does not allow me to set a subnet mask.
I've also now used the Windows XP ICS troubleshooter but naturally it wasn't too helpful.
The only odd thing about the whole situation is...
Hi WizyWyg, thanks for your response
I don't too much background stuff going: I have a motherboard monitor, my Logitech keyboard/mouse gimmicky software, and that's about it. Those take up almost no resources and I have a pretty new processor, so I doubt they are impacting. I guess I'll try...
Hi I'm back... can't get it to work.
I've bound TCP/IP to the dial-up, to the NIC, and to ICS.
I've cleared the gateways on my ICS computer. It's IP for the NIC is 192.168.0.1 and for the dial-up adaptor and ICS it is the 'obtain automatically' option.
I've checked "Set this protocol to...
Thank you for all that information!
My router's ip is 192.168.2.1 and while configuring it, I changed all my IP's to 192.168.2.*. Which I suppose is my problem.
Thanks very much for your help.
You shouldn't need to put anything in Video 1 if you don't want.
I don't have premiere in front of me, but it seems to me that if you right click your video in track 3, there is a video transparency option.
You can key out a color (what EdwardMartinIII spoke of) but you just want a hard line...
I'm experiencing some trouble with dropped frames. I have Premiere set to 'abort' on dropped frames because I don't want to have video footage captured that will ultimately end up in my film- that is missing frames.
My system is a P4 2.8C Ghz and my hard drives are in RAID 0 so there should be...
I'm having trouble getting my Windows XP computer to use my Windows 98SE Internet conenction.
I have a 56k dial-up connection, shared using Windows 98SE internet connection sharing. I don't beleive that ICS in Win98 has a DHCP server feature, so I've got all of my machines set up with manual...
I want my XP system to act like my Windows 2000 system. I've turned off the Welcome screen but I see no option for that requires CONTROL+ALT+DELETE to logon.
In documentation it mentions an "Advanced" tab within the Users control panel. I am unable to see such a tab.
Thankyou for...
