    Dedupe numbers

Solved. There was old backup data on the drives that was not visible to Commvault. Looking at the disks from the MA revealed the data. Called support and they had me run a SQL script and then run Data Aging twice. Disk space cleared up. 10TB of space available.

    Dedupe numbers

Hey all. I've been running Commvault for over 2 years and started using dedupe about 2 months ago. Seems to be working very well, but I don't trust the numbers as reported by the Policy/Properties/Dedupe tab. The CS library status shows less free space available than is accounted for in the...

Slow through put to disk ...

I had a very similar problem and it turned out to be a misconfig with the iSCSI initiator. Sorry, don't remember the exact fix. Is the MD3000i on the same network segment and vlan as the CS? Try forcing the MD3000i interface, server interface and switch ports to 1GB/Full. Are you able to...

Hi. I am backing up an Exchange 2003 cluster using the 4.1 module and networker 7.2.2 and I am getting a message in the client application event log. ===================================================== Event Type: Information Event Source: ESE Event Category: Logging/Recovery Event ID: 222...

    Networker Admin 7.3

Hi all. I installed 7.3 on my desktop so that I could get a look at the admin console. As stated, it's all in Java. It can be a bit of a pig as I have seen it consume >100Mb after a while. One of my major gripes is that when you are managing your tape library, you cannot select multiple tape...

What does "change Mode / Recyclable" do?

Hi all. When I right-click a volume, select Change Mode - Recyclable, I can see the mode is now recyclable and the expiration status is expired. What does this mean to the data on the tape? Index entries? I can still restore from a recyclable tape. I did a NSRIM -X and was still able...

    Wrong tape listed for restore

That's what I figured. Thanks very much RMinNJ!

    Wrong tape listed for restore

The listed tape is one of the tapes in the set that was written at the same time as the requested tape. The data on both tapes is good.

    Wrong tape listed for restore

Hi all. I am using 6.0.2 (ya, I know it's old...) and when I do a restore with nwrecover (unix or Windows), I check the Required Volumes before doing the restore. Often, the required volumes that are listed by nerecover are wrong. I am prompted for another tape by the admin console. I have...
