The HP-LJ-1000 only comes with a USB port connection, and so re-using the old HP LJ Series II print driver is not an option unless I purchase some kind of adaptor. The HP-LJ-1000 comes with a driver that generates a .prn file. I'm going to try using that indirect approach.
