I have a Sonicwall SOHO firewall at a remote site. When connected to the network at that site, I start up my Cisco VPN client to connect back to the home office. Everything works fine until someone else tries to start up a Cisco VPN session as well, and it terminates my connection. What settings...
I see. I thought you meant it was slow on all files. If it is just doing it on Word files, maybe NAV is set to scan all .doc files being transferred. I guess the only way to test it would be to stop the NAV service on the server and try it. Then if that fixes it, check with Symantec for patches...
One idea you can try is to look at the port stats on the switch.
Go into the switch, and clear the counters on the ports that the users are connected into. Then have them transfer some large files, and make sure it is going slower than it should be. If it is, go back into the switch and look at...
I have a Win2k Adv Svr with 2 drive partitions. A C: and D:.
The C: is a 4gb drive with 1gb free, and the D: is a 210gb partition with 200gb free. This server is also a Terminal Services server. We presently only have about 6 users who log into TS, but in a week, there will be about 30 people...
Ok, I figured out what was going on. I initially installed the TS MMC snapin, so it didnt have the connection manager. After going back to MS's website and downloading the correct client, I was able to get it setup, drop an icon on the desk, and it is good to go now. Thanks for all you guys help...
OK, I am getting there. I downloaded the TSAC from MS's website and installed it. Then I went into Admin Tools, TS Connections, and was able to set up a new connection from there, and have an icon so that all I have to do is click on it, and it starts. Now, how do I export that icon to the...
This doesnt work on mine. I can use http://domsrvadm02 and it works fine. Anything after that just brings up a "The page cannot be found" error message.
I even tried it with and without the /tsweb so if it wasnt installed in the same directory, but that didnt work either.
Thank you...
OK gurus, like most of you have been at one time or another, I am faced with an issue of user laziness that I need to help them out with.
I run a W2k Adv Server Terminal Server, and we have around 30 users who connect in to it using the Terminal Services Advanced Client (web browser).
The way...
I currently run Arcserve2000 Advanced Edition, and backup to a Dell PowerVault 110T LTO unit with 2 LTO drives.
I only backup 10 servers, each with about 20gb on them. Normally most everything goes on one tape, although sometime it requires 2 LTO tapes, a lot of times it gets by with one.
Our...
As a rule, we usually have the users change their passwords on a 60-day cycle. Under User Manager/Account Policy, I have it set so that the Maximum Password Age is 60 days. This makes it so that all users are effected. Well, I have a user that needs his changed to allow his password to have an...
