All of the extensions (including Phone A) have "Fwd on busy" set to "None". "Fwd no answer" is set to 2650 (voicemail). Changing "Fwd on busy" for this particular extension doesn't affect the behavior at all, though changing it on other extensions works just fine.
Can you clarify what you...
When one particular user (Phone A) is busy on an inbound call, the next inbound call to Phone A rolls to Phone B. If both Phone A and Phone B are busy, the second call to Phone A still rolls to the second line on Phone B. Phone A is the only phone in the system that exhibits this behavior. If...
Although it is not the cleanest method, try this:
- Create a folder in the Sales mailbox labeled something like "Sent on Behalf of Sales"
- Add the Sales mailbox to each user's Outlook
- Have the users "BCC" every Sales message to the Sales account
- Set a rule in Outlook to automatically mark...
Name resolution doesn't appear to be an issue. All indications are that the name resolves just fine, the IP resolves correctly, using a browser to access default IIS pages (IISADmin & IISHelp) works, and ping test (local and LAN) are fine.
I'm not sure what you were getting at with the...
We have been noticing significantly "slow" delivery performance when users send out messages to 100+ or so recipients. By monitoring the SMTP queues, it appears that there is a bottleneck associated with the number of simultaneous outbound SMTP connections that Exchange allows.
After some...

I have an NT4 server that I am finally ready to remove from my network. All of the other servers are Win2K and Active Directory is deployed and running fine. I need to know the proper method for demoting the NT4 server from its BDC role and moving the other servers to Native mode.
I know...
Thanks for the clarification. I will try it tonight.
Thanks again for your help.

Are you referring to a "normal" disk defrag, or does Exchange have its own utility? This is the first I have heard of using a defrag on an Exhange server, so I want to make sure I do it correctly.
Thanks for the quick response.

Our Exchange server is starting to run low on space. I had one user archive a large amount of data (about 1 gig) to another server in a ".pst" file. The properties on the mailbox reflect the archive, but the disk space is unchanged.
Is there a place where these messages are still...
Thanks for the info.

Tonight I will be setting up a new Super DLT drive and installing Veritas Backup Exec and Agents (One Exchange Agent, One SQL Agent, and Three Remote Agents for Windows 2000).
I was wondering if anyone had any warnings, suggestions, or general advice for how to approach this installation...
