Heightmaps and the .RAW file format
Using USGS topo data is really easy in Bryce. You can import it as a .psd, a .pgm. or raw. I would reccommend converting the raw data to one of the first two file formats. If you have a PC, use 3DEM. Question about materials lab
I'm trying to create the planet Mars with a sphere, and I want to apply topographical data to the surface of the sphere. I have the data in a picture form (.PGM and also .PSD). Is it possible to apply bump to a sphere based on the alpha channel of a picture material? I keep getting flat...- Brycefan
