Small Office Edition & Enterprise Edition
Was on version 3.0 I found the original invoice (2 years old) in the files and it described it as a 'Small Office Edition 4T+4A+8DS+16VCM'. Cannot update this unit normally through update wiz. Have to delete files using 'AT-X2 etc.....' then upload using TFTP, I can get this to ver 4.2 but the...- brunt100

Does anybody know the difference between the Small Office Edtion and the Enterprise Edition (4T+8DS+16VCM), Enterprise looks like the same box as SOE but has 'Enterprise Edition' on the front instead of 'Small Office Edition' ? Many thanks- brunt100

Persistance pays off, I have managed to get the unit back to square one. I used a different copy of ip401ng and it loaded fine. The other one must have been corrupted. The only problem I have left is the upgrade wizard screen says status 'invalid' and will not allow upgrades. Couldnt find an...- brunt100

ip401ng.bin was from a 'save' from the original system when it was first started. I think it was ver 3.0 Can I try any other files ? Thanks- brunt100

Used wireshark and found my security software was blocking some connections. Anyway found the correct IP addresses, restarted control unit and got it to request bootp file. File ip401ng.bin downloading GOOD TIMES Unfortunately it stops at 70% then does multi sector erase and then restarts...- brunt100

Eventually found an old laptop with 9 pin connection. Connected lead to DTE and followed instructions. But I dont think it has worked.
