If you are trying to make your own log file you can simply open the vi or emacs editor using the command vi filename or emacs filename and create the file that way. max user processes on Linux
How do you change the max processes allowed for each user? I know it requires reconfiguration of the Kernel. What files do I go to and how do I modify them and then recompile the Kernel? I am using Red Hat version 6.1- braxtonk
