    In thread thread690-1745537, it was asked how to load the shellshock remediation onto CM 5.2.1. One answer said that you can use the web interface, the next response said to use the linux command line. Which way can you do it? Can you go either way? Just needed some clarification. Thanks.

    Push out patches?

    Is there a way to push patches out automatically? We've got over 100 sites with LSP's and media gateways and a duplicated core switch. We're doing System Platform patches and CM patches now, but are doing them one by one, which takes a LOT of time. Is there a way to automate this?

    mm711 initializing

    Have you done a 'nvram init' on the G450 before doing anything else? This will clean out it's RAM and memory, then restart programming. Upgrade the firmware on the G450 to latest, and make sure you load it on both Bank A and B, then login and see if the MM711 can be seen then.

    Sounds like a network issue between India and Hong Kong. Something is dropping the link. The ip phones should be loaded with the ip address of the call server, the vlan id, and the gateway. If they connect, and then later disconnect and go into discover mode, that tells me that the network...

    Dumb question, but are you logging into the correct switch? If this is a large corporate environment with many sites/switches, make sure you're attempting to log into the correct one with your web browser. Also, make sure you can ping the switch, and that your browser isn't just loading a page...

    What amriddle01 said, 8.1.63 is buggy. We did an installation last week and there was an issue. Ended up downgrading to 8.1.43 and had no issue's.

    I did an install last week for a business partner. The IP Office was loaded with 8.1.63, and we were told that 8.1.63 was acting 'buggy'. They didn't go into specifics, they just said they had just found out that 8.1.63 was 'buggy' by someone at tier 3/4 Avaya, for what it's worth.

    Okay, we discovered a 'gotcha'. VAL boards firmware MUST be upgraded to at least ver. 21 PRIOR to going to version 5.2.1, not AFTER. Lesson learned.
