    Trying to connect a win95 system with a D-Link DI-604 router

Hope somebody has a answer or can point me in the right direction with my problem. I got two systems a new p4 with winXP thats working fine with my ADSL high speed service. Anti-Virus Programs & XP...opinions?

Tks everybody, All of your input has been valuable. So far I've used trend micro's PC-cillin, AVG anti-virus and Norton with XP. I guess for now I'll stick with Norton, seems well enough. Maybe it's my machine that's buggy rather than my anti-virus software. Again, Tks :)

    Anti-Virus Programs & XP...opinions?

I'm using Norton with XP. Seems glitchy at times and some folks told me that Norton Anti-Virus does'nt work well with Windows XP. Does anybody have an opinion as to which anti-virus application works best with XP? Tks.[thumbsup]

MSI video cards & Windows XP

Just a final footnote, I ended up reloading XP and this time I avoided the MSI video drivers entirely. The Detonator NVidia drivers are working perfectly and currently my system is not experiencing any hang ups as it was before. Tks again for the input.

MSI video cards & Windows XP

Perfect, Tks for the suggestion Mike. I d-loaded the drivers and they worked great. Now if I could only get rid of those stupid MSI tabs that don't work in my display property window. Tks again

MSI video cards & Windows XP

Tks for the suggestion Mike, I checked out their website, would the detonator drivers be an adequite substitute? The only feature that I may be interested in with my card is the TV out feature. But I would be satisfied with a working driver that doesn't chunk out my system. Again Tks.

MSI video cards & Windows XP

Has anybody had issues with MSI video cards while using Windows XP? I ask because the all the drivers I've found on their site for this device are not "digitally signed" for XP and when I try to use any configuration tabs for the video card under the display properties menu I get DLL...

XP not recognizing LG 24x cd-rw as a burner...

When I installed windows XP and all is working great except for one little thing.. I purchased an LG 24X CD-RW and windows doesn't seem to know that it's a burner.. On the Drive Icon it shows that it's a CD-R drive but when I install my burning software "tried, CDRWIN, Nero, BlindWrite...

XP very sluggish...100% cpu usage.. system idle process not working?

Good news, I removed the suspect phanta link 56k soft modem and it's drivers and the system appears to be much more stable. I guess I gotta get a more reputable modem cause the one I replaced it with is another 56k soft modem ( a T-Rex )but without the built in mic and speaker jacks...

Sorry Kicket, I meant that it only has one partition for 20 gig. I didn't divide it any further than that.

XP very sluggish...100% cpu usage.. system idle process not working?

Hi again, Tks for the input. I haven't installed Office XP yet. However this morning I tried something different. I went into the msconfig menu and deactivated all but the necessary system files required to do a "clean boot". I got online after it booted properly, but then...

    XP issue at startup..100% cpu usage...extremely slow...ACK !

Tks all again for the tips, My printer is a Deskjet 600C, it picked up automatically and as far as I can tell it's running fine. But I was wondering where this text-to-speech option was? That may be a possibility. For further clarification, when I get these massive CPU usage problems ...
