    Persistent Binding

Hello I have a redhat 2.6 kernel. I need to setup persistent binding on a netbackup media server. How do I enable this in netbackup. I tried using the /dev/nst# devices but when I reboot these get all changed. The HBA I am using is a HP branded Qlogic.

    SLP Elapsed times

Hi I would like to know if there is a way to find out the total time of a backup from start to finish including the SLP. So basically from the start of the backup to the end of the SLP cycle. I have a 6.5.5 environment. Thanks

Hi, In my experience I found there were hardware issues. Check your event viewer for any hardware problems on the windows backup server.

    Deleting a recursive hard link

ls -al /usr1/log/.KSQmEa shows me the output of /usr1 so I can cd into this directory and can go on and on /usr1/log/.KSQmEa/log/.KSQmEa/log

    Deleting a recursive hard link

I have a problem with one of my filesystems in AIX 4.33 In /usr1/log I have a directory called .KSQmEa which points back to /usr1. If I do a rm -R it will delete all of my /usr1 I need to just remove it without affecting /usr1. Any help would be great!

    backup failing with scsi errors

This type of problem is usually due to the drive order in Networker. Make sure that drive 1 is defined to the right device (cbn).

    Upgrade networker server

Chapter11...you said you do not need the same hostname? I was under the impression you did...I guess you'd keep the same hostname so not to add/change the servers file on all the clients

    Upgrade networker server

You must keep the same hostname also. The best way is to tar/untar the /nsr directory. However I would put the new server to the same version as the old server and like Chapter11 said test to see it all works OK . then upgrade to 7.22. More stable than 7.21
