This weekend I'll be upgrading our NT4 domain to a AD with Win2k. I just got a new Dell Poweredge server that will eventually become the primary controller for the AD. Now, I know the usual method for doing this would be to install NT on the new server, make it the PDC for the domain then...
I'm looking to setup some way to sync with both our server and with our outside reps via e-mail. Our outside reps are setup to send updates via e-mail to their manager, then their manager would synchronize with the server after reviewing the changes from the reps. The problem is, you can only...
You mean your physical location? I think the best you can do is tell what access point the laptop is connected to which would give you a general area. If you want an exact location you'll need some type of GPS tracking or something.
Since the CSU/DSU is an external one (AT&T Paradyne) I don't have the 'show service-module' command. The Paradyne is setup to where it should be, though.
For the last week or so 1/100 messages going outside our network hang when they're sending. If I do a sendmail -q -v I see this:
354 Enter message, end with "." on a line by itself
>>> .
and it hangs there for about 5 minutes and finally times out.
I'm not sure if this is a...
Actually, sorry, we have a T1 line but it connects over frame-relay. I don't see anything about the clock source line in my config. Should that be there if we're connected to a frame?
We recently upped our T1 data speed from 256k to 768k. We're using a external CSU/DSU which is connected to the serial port on our Cisco 1601r. Is there any config needed on the 1600 when we change the speeds?
Hi,
Last week we got our T1 switched from 256k data to 768k data and we've been having some problems ever since. It seems like whenever something from one of our servers has some extra spaces in it, the connection will hang. For example:
A page that looks like this will work fine...
I updated the driver for the printer and we'll see if that works. I also installed another printer (Laserjet 8000) on her machine and told her to use that one instead for mail merges and that'll rule out a faulty printer driver.
One thing I forgot to mention.. after this happens, when she goes...
I've tried everything I can think of.. reinstall Office, reinstall printer drivers.. reinstall video drivers.. fonts.. among other things and still can't figure this out.
The problem is when our secretary is doing mail merging with a standard letter sometimes it works fine, other times it...
I'm not sure that this is the problem. These 'attacks' seem to be trying to send mail to a local user by guessing the username. We already had pop-before-smtp installed and I've recently switched from that to SMTP AUTH which seems to work even better.
I don't think its a case of open relay...
