KevinADC: Because all of the css attributes are in-line with the tag, it wouldn't be easy to find a logical breakpoint in a larger document (these can run upwards of 300+ pages), which is why I was hoping to find something similar to an HTML aware Text::Wrap.
1DMF: Perl, right now, is being...
Thanks for all the responses.
Because this HTML has to be filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, we're pretty much bound to a certain type of HTML editor (the SEC only accepts a subset of HTML 3 and 4).
Viewing the HTML also has to be done through this pre-SEC html application...
Initially what sounded fairly easy has me stumped. The type setting program I'm using is able to export HTML with in-line css formatting attributes.
Everything comes through fine until it's opened in the HTML editor I'm forced to use. Because of a per-line character length limit, the program...
Initially, I had thought it would be better to strip out named styles to reduce the amount of variance I would have to handle. Currently, when I receive a Word document, I first save down to RTF, open that RTF in wordpad and saving (to ensure named styles are truly gone) and then re-opening that...
I'm hoping to create a format translation program that goes from a "clean" Word document (aka no named styles) to a plain text document containing the document's text as well as certain formatting tags.
Example before translation:

Sample paragraph test text.
Example after translation...
That was it, Word for some reason won't accept Adobe Illustrator EPS files (at least not with the settings I've tried out). However, when using the following settings to save out as a Photoshop EPS, everything shows up fine in the Word doc:
Preview: TIFF (8 bits/pixel)
Encoding: Binary

What I'm trying to do:
After cleaning up submitted artwork using Illustrator CS2's Live Trace feature, I would like to use the resulting PDF (tried saving with/without preview) in a Microsoft Word Document.
Problem I'm running into:
After using insert -> picture -> from file
I can only see...
After upgrading to OSX 10.4.4, noticed that Illustrator files were being associated with Acrobat (to the point that each illustrator file was being shown with a PDF icon). Initially, I figured the association must have been lost, so I set all illustrator files to open with Acrobat, which worked...
You "might" be able to do this:
Create a PDF of the cropped image you wish to insert and append that page to the end of your document.
Select the image using the black arrow tool and choose Copy from the drop down menu.
Navigate to the page that you wish to place the graphic on and paste...
Thus far I've followed the instructions for creating a service found below (and customized the steps to use the acrodist.exe file as the executable). However, when I restart my computer (Windows XP Pro) the service doesn't initialize. The service is slated to start up automatically and has run...
Thanks Chris & rn4it,
Purchased the Syngress Nokia and Checkpoint books.
rn4it, I'll check out checkpoint's site and see what's available - although if you have a link, that'd be nice to add to this thread as well.
Thanks again!
