Could it be you reached the 16gb max limit for the exchange database? Assumming your using standard edition. As the Information stores shuts itself down when the limit it reached.
thanks for the reply yokydoky and what you have said is true BUT 1. For the 2nd NIC the option for dchp is grayed out 2. the dns setting seem to copy themselfs from one nic to another i.e dns servers, host and domain name. any ideas?
