Can I recover the file?
just a thought, try testdisk. You might have damaged the partition table or MBR, etc. Testdisk can recover this stuff. I have tested this utility before, actually deleted a partition on one of my USB drives, and of course, the computer could not see anything. Testdisk was ran, computer...- Bigdoggit
