Thanks everyone...it seems that the limitations are tied to both the PBX and the LEC, or so it seems. What we decided to do was to add 5 to the existing six and then create a second group of 11 with a primary and backup. Since it is going into an Avaya G3R, lopes1211 you information followed...
Does anyone know if there is a limitation on the primary and backup d channel configuration for pri service. Suppose I have 6 pri t-1's with a primary and back-up d-channel and I want to add 16 more t1's to this arrangement. I am looking for an answer as it realtes primarily as it relates to...
Skippy, most systems now can reside on a network and be access from the network. MAny techs will VPN to switches to do remote diagnostics and make changes. So don't be afraid of the network it is our friend.....

Thnaks BCM programmer. Is there a place where I can look at the BCM that will tell me what patches are active. In the M1 system I can go to LD 22 and do the command ISSP+ and get that information. Can I do the same in the BCM.

I have a BCM 1000 running rls 3.6 and Professional call center. I also have a Norstar MICS running a Cinphony II application. This may be a stupid question, but can the two systems be networked to support each other. I have capability to install a T1 between the two for this purpose. My idea...
Does anyone on here log into BCMS over their network? I have a need to have someone in Virginia log into this MCB and they cannot. They say they can ping the ip address of the unit but cannot log in. Any thoughts? I am sure there is a firewall, but then I am not sure.

Thanks Roldan,
The customer deosn't like the continual muted ring of a second call on his intercom path. DRT will only complicate the matter. I think it just may be a matter he will need to live with.
Thanks

Jerry,
You are saying that if I clear the control set on the lines that it will clear the problem. I will try that and see if that works for my situation. Thanks for the tip.

I recently enabled a night service button on my main console so that the lines ringing into the main console will be answered. I used FAQ 799-3717 to program the system and it works...too well as a matter of fact. The TAS function picks up all of my target lines, not just the ones ringing on...
Does anyone know how to prevent the ring burst on the sets when the voice mail is set to answer on "0" rings. I think this is hard coded by Nortel, but if anyone has a solution please let me know.

I recently receieved a BCM 3.6. It was upgraded from an earlier release to the current platform. I have set my dip switched and assigned my bus positions for the following. 3 DTI cards located on buses 7,6 and 5 respectively. I have a 2 port 32dsi (not a plus) set for bus 2 and 3. I have a...
Thanks for the info everyone. BTW, I do know what constitutes a multipoint gound, earth ground, isolated ground etc. I work mostly on Norstar systems and Meridian PBX systems. I was just curious as to the correct grounding procedure for a Partner system. If this guy came in and grounded his...
