Masterelectrician, I had a similar problem - turned out to be the internal battery inside the voice pro unit (located under the pc board and metal cover). It had low voltage and crashed at weird times. Try measuring its voltage and replacing if necessary.- bicp

Coganoid, Power supply is 24Vdc, not 12V, sorry I don't have the wallwart here at work so I can't tell you the current requirements.- bicp
