That model number sounds like one of the Dec legacy printers which Genicom now owns-in that case, it's probably more than five years old. I'd try running the printer without the ribbon mounted to see if the ribbon drive spindle turns, and if it does, check the ribbon protector for an ink...
First I would call Lexmark and tell them you need to re-load the engine code- they will e-mail you a site and password.This seems to be a common problem, and this usually fixes it.
There is a small plastic guide on the end of the fuser bulb that can be installed 180 degrees from the proper position, preventing the bulb contact from making contact.If the fuser has ever been disassembled, this could very possibly be the problem.
