Problem is solved. Just go to Control Panel, then go to Regional settings and make the appropriate adjustments. I was also told one must reboot to make the changes effective. BFR

I fought off a nasty virus recently and now all my programs are defaulting to the metric system - Page setup defaults are all European paper sizes, measurements are all in mm, etc. I suspect XP can be reset, but I can't figure out how. Can someone help? BFR

Hmmm. That didn't work after all. It appears to work, copies the files from the CD over to the hard disk but then when I try to open 123 I get a message that it can't find the initialization file and instructs me to run install which I can't. I can install just fine from the floppies however...
