Do a Google for "PrimoPDF" and download it; it's free!
It acts in place of the printer and produces good PDFs, which in many cases show a significant reduction in file size.
For example I have a 4page newsletter which is 2360kb in CDR format, which comes down to 380kb as a PrimoPDF.
Hope...
Hi Markimel
If your printer is using modern technology he should have a Pantone Mixing guide, whereby he can match your colour whatever form it takes either RGB, CMYK or any other.
I retired from the print industry 14 years ago and had used the PMS system many years before thet.
Printed below...
Yes! I did.
You will need to do a "Change" installation, using the CD1.
After the initial screen appears, select "Change" and when Custom Install appears, scroll down to "Utilities" and expand it
then insert a Red Cross in "Thumbnail Display" using the drop-down list box. Click next and away you...
In X3 if you export as a PNG you have the option in the dialog box to save it with a transparent background, try it, it may not get rid of all the white, but turning off anti-aliasing may help.
I have installed both X3 and v8, and everything works OK.
The main thing to ensure trouble free operation, seems to be to ensure you install each on a separate partition of your hard disc.
Hope this helps.
Simplest way is to drag & drop a globe from clipart>Maps.
Artistic Text> Times new roman bold cap "S"
superimpose over globe.
Distort to fit around the globe,
fill with gradient fill of gold with black 4pt outline.
Time 15 mins.
Then adjust to your desire.
Hi Smokey!
If you are "opening" the PNG file then it will appear to have a white background, as the default background colour is white.
You have to "Import" it and place it over any coloured background and it should be transparent.
Failing this try using the bitmap colour mask to hide the...
If you can define your area, make a duplicate of the outline, fill it using the hatch in bitmat fills, change colour to red adjust the size of tile to suit, then export this as a PNG with transparent background, then bring it back, import, and place over the map.
Hope this is what you are after.
Photo Paint may provide the answer, open the image,
goto Effects>Creative>Vignette; in dialog box you can choose the shape, and the colour for the vignette, and adjust how great you want the effect to be.
Hope this helps.
Hi Andy!
I.ve just checked the document info of both PDFs and the main difference seems to be that Draw embedds the images as 32bit CMYK whereas Primo embedds them as 24bit RGB.
Resolution is the same for both at 300dpi.
As an exprinter with some 53 yrs hands-on experience ranging from the...
Hi J,
Just experimented in X3, and came up with the following;
If text reads backwards in the bottom half of a circle, click mirror vertically. This will then read from right to left in clockwise direction on outside of circle.
Clicking mirror vertically sends it to inside of circle, now if...
It sounds as if you are confused with the terminology.
You can only 'wrap' paragraph text around an object within a paragraph text frame.
I suspect what you are trying to do is make text follow the outline of a circle; if so, what you need to do is set a line of artistic text; then draw your...
I have just tried "Publish to PDF" inX3, and a 4page A5 newsletter with 7 small jpg images and text, resulted in a file size of 3090 kb. the same newsletter using PrimaPDF as the output resulted in a file size of 246 kb!
Need I say more?
This has been covered many times before.
Select image goto Bitmaps; scroll down to Bitmap Color Mask;click on eyedropper tool, click on white background, set tolerance to around 10, click OK.
Otherwise save the original image as a PNG and select Transparent Background. This should make the...
