Migration from 2003 to 2010 is fully supported, and technet has a wealth of information on this process. Check out http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff805033.aspx and follow the instructions for installing 2010 into a 2003 environment and moving mailboxes to 2010.

I have several SmartArray 6402 cards with MSA20 shelves. I realise that the SmartArray card has a 2TB limit for logical drives. I'm trying to clarify if this is a parallel SCSI limit, or just a limit with this particular array controller model.
I'm looking at the option of using a third-party...
I would suggest making the change and then copying the profile that you made the change in to the default users profile. This will only affect new users that haven't logged in before. Naturally, you want to make the change in a fresh profile so that other settings aren't copied.

Mighty, you should use what you are confortable in using. Now that you've mentioned that you will export data from your CRM using vbscript, it would make sense to use the same script to push the data into AD. VBScript isn't that complex and you will be able to find lots of examples by...
1. Yep TTL. Check with your ISP about this (or however manages your public DNS).
2. Yes, contact your ISP, most ISPs will offer this feature, and it's good practice to have this in place permantly so that if your exchange server ever goes down the mail will queue on your ISPs server, rather...
To answer hdamnis' question, if you only have a single DC and it fails, then you will need to build a new 2003 server and then perform a system state restore (no need to dcpromo). The system state restore will restore the server back into a DC state.

Using a CSV file would be easier (ie. using CSVDE instead of LDIFDE). What you're best to do is use CSVDE to export a contact, then use the exported CSV file as your import template. The CSV file will have all of the attributes as headings, you just need to clear the data for the contact you...
Fresh installations sound wise. Here's a quick overview of a common way to upgrade:
1. You first need to prepare the forest for the 2003 installation. In order to do this, you will need to apply Service Pack 2 onto the 2000 DCs if not already applied. You'll then need to run ADPrep on the...
Should I match/copy these here to the new PW Policy GPO? I think the new PW POLICY is going to override the Default Domain Policy and thus override the kerberos settings there...
"
No you don't need to. The new policy will only override settings that are defined in the new policy...
Great, here's an excellent reference for working with the outlook object model:

You may want to consider using PRF files.

Make sure that you have a secondary MX record configured to point to a third-party (i.e your ISP). This will allow your mail to queue on your ISP's servers if when your exchange server is unavialable (during cut-over). Once the DNS records have propegated the queued mail will be delivered to...
Yep, it's cool. Don't be freaked out by the fact that it was displaying your outlook inbox etc, that's exactly what it is supposed to do!
