Well, I found out that the issue indeed was a localized problem. It seems that the other computers on my network didn't have an updated version of Flash installed. Downloaded the new intaller, installed it, and everything works just fine now! Thank you guys for all your input and help!
Thank you for checking it out for me Oldnewbie... I haven't been able to figure out then why on the other computers it isn't working. I suppose I will have to chalk it up to a localized issue.
Hello All,
I am desperate for some help with my personal portfolio website. My basic issue is that on every computer other than the one I actually built the site on, my "loadMovieNum" doesn't work after loading an initial movie clip.
In a nutshell, here is my issue.
I have my main swf file...
Okay... um... I feel stupid. I got everything working okay. It seems that I had spaces in the "name" and "comment" fields. Once I deleted the spaces IN the fields, everything is working okay now. :-)
Hey all,
I have created a very simple flash guestbook. It actually works, however, I am trying to make it such that if the user DOES NOT input a name, email address, and a comment, then an error message pops up. This the actionscript attached to my submit button. ActionScript 2.0 btw.

I am not sure if I did a good thing or not. I found this code at the end of my .js file, and decided to try and delete it and see what would happen. Well, as it turns out, deleted that bit of code seems to have done the trick! Now my page loads the CSS file without fail every time in IE...
Thanks for the reply dwarfthrower. I tried cutting the onload attributes from my HTML page and putting them into the javascript file. That didn't solve my problem. I even tried cutting it out completely! And that didn't help me either. The browser still refuses to load the CSS when I return...
Hello all,
I am adding SlideShowPro to my website. I am not thrilled with the basic default navigation that SSP has so I've decided to add my own custom navigation buttons. According to the SlideShowPro manual, you can add "external" flash buttons to your slideshow and place them anywhere in...
Thank you for the explanation and the advise, Vragabond and ck1999. I've posted my issue on the Javascript section of the forums. Hopefully someone will know of a quick fix to my problem. Thanks again for all your help!
Hi all,
I was just referred to this part of the forum from the CSS section. I had thought it was a CSS loading issue that was keeping my page from displaying the proper CSS style. But as it turns out, I've been advised that it is a cookie issue. First time visitors to my main page will see...
That's strange, ck1999. I am not adjusting anything on the site. I wonder how it is that you were able to see the images upon loading the page, but lost them once you refreshed. It has never loaded for me when I get to page. Only after I click the theme buttons will the CSS file load.
Thanks for the post, Vragabond. I deleted that line in the CSS file.. and as my luck would have it, it still didn't solve my issue. It just simply doesn't want to load when the page loads.
Hi all,
I have wasted the entire weekend trying to figure out why my CSS code doesn't work in Firefox/Netscape. It looks fine and works fine in IE, but not in the former mentioned. Can someone PLEASE take a look and help me out?
First of all, here's the website that I got the CSS style...
Vragabond,.. I may have spoken too early, Friend. After toying around a little here and there in the CSS file, my images are suddenly showing up in my browsers ( well at least in IE and Firefox so far ). I can't put my finger on it, so I am assuming that your advice DID actually work. I may...
