When a document is added to my document library a Sharepoint task is created. The creation of this task triggers a workflow which sends an alert email with various instructions. Within this email I need to add a link to the document that created the task.
I read somewhere else that this is...
We purchased a HP LasrJet 2450dtnsl por the purpose of printing 2 part delivery notes. The printer must do the following;
For each single page sent to the printer, the printer should print one copy from tray 2 and one copy from tray 3 (these trays contain different paper colours). The two...
Hi Burt,
I got the problem sorted. The DNS that was causing the issue had the Proxy/Firewall client for ISA2000 installed as we use this for web access. The DNS that was working correctly did not have the client installed. It appears that when a client from 192.65.145.x was quering DNS it must...
SPI200,
Because I have changed the subnet mask it is on the same network so shouldn't need a route added. This is backed up by the fact I can query my other DNS server. Again as the DNS server is local it does not use the gateway so no change needed there as far as I can see.
Burtsbees,
The...
We have a class C network 192.65.144.0/24. I am changing our internal network subnet mask from 255.255.255.0 to 255.255.254.0 to enable us to create a new DHCP scope with double the amount of IP's we currently have hence the network range would be 192.65.144.0-192.65.145.254.
We have 2 DNS...
Hi MJRBIM,
The ODBC is in the System DSN. The Sage folder is on a different server. I have tried setting up the ODBC driver using a mapped drive to the Sage folder and using the UNC path however I have had no success with either method.
Regards,
Barry
Hi Dell,
Yes, Sage is a file based database. I therefore cheched all services in the Central Configuration Manager and found they were all on the default accounts with the exception of the Job Server wich is using an account that has permissions on the folder where the Sage files reside. I...
I am able to sucessfully report from Sage Line 100 using Crystal Reports XI and the standard Sage ODBC driver however when I try these on Crystal Reports Server I am unable to. If I setup the database logon details within the report on the Crystal server I get the following when I try to run the...
When I preview the report in CMC (which seems to use the activex viewer) I get the message "The database logon information for this report is either incomplete or incorrect"
I have checked the ODBC and it is setup exactly as it is on the PC the report was written on.
After a struggle we are able to run Crystal Reports on Sage Line 100. To avoid the normal 'Table was not found' errors we changed the 'Use DSN Default Properties:' to 'True' in the 'Set Datasource Location' dialogue box in Crystal XI. On doing this reports now run in Crystal XI with no errors...
Hi Joe,
Yes we do propagate to child folders. We have IIS5 on a 2000 server. The server has all the latest SP's & updates. What we did find was that when we performed the 2000 Server SP4 install we could no longer upload a file to the IIS server through Frontpage if that file was greater than...
Hi Joe,
Afraid not. As a work around we grant LOCALMACHINE\ADMINISTRATOR access to modify the pages in Frontpage when we need to then take them back out when are finnished which restores the security.
I assume from your question you have the same issue.
Barry
Cheers Steve.
We found a way of doing it through the registry on the PDA. The details are at;

We are shorlty to issue 40 PDA's to our service technicians to handle breakdown calls. Callout info is sent to the DPA via GPRS. The fact they have GPRS means all 40 PDA's will also have internet access. As GPRS is chagrged by the byte we would rather internet access was not available as we...
We have an IIS server which hosts an Intranet which we update with MS Frontpage.
We have an issue when trying to create folders with restricted access. The IIS server is using 'Integrated Windows Authentication'. By default when we create a folder under wwwroot it gives permission to...
