Its really very easy. Once you know how of coarse.
Make sure you export your .fla file as .swf from Flash (go file>export)
then in Dreamweaver &/or UltraDev on the object panel,(windows>objects)find the icon button which, when you hold your mouse over it will say import Flash, click that...
Greetings and thanks for taking the time to view my question.
I have made a group of four buttons in fireworks. They each have three states-normal, mouse over, and mouse down.
When i place them into a page in Dreamweaver4 it works fine until I place more of the same buttons on the same page...
I am lost!! I have been working throught the ASP tutorial of UD4. I downloaded the MS PWS, installed it exactly as the tutorial said. Followed everything to a T, but when it came to doing a live test it get a error saying basicly:
HTTP 404 error.
Here are two possible faults
1)There is no...
Also hit ctrl+alt+del and close any programs your not using like firewalls etc (make sure your not connected though). this should give you a bit more resource space. but you should have enough though. Also try empting the files that IE collects. And run any diagnosic software you might have...
Got to the macromedia website and download Dreamweaver UltraDev4. Its like standard D.weaver but its designed to create dynamic websites, ie, sites that connect to databases. The tutorials that come with the program all use access database files. The trial is free of coarse. From that it...
Sometimes in DW when you preview a page some functions wont work. As you guys have found out. Try starting IE then open your site from with IE. The preview page from DW is usually only reliable for checkling layout and basic functions. If that don't work let me know.
Dreamweaver has gone weird on me and all the site caches are gone. The are still there in the DW folder but I'm unable to load them into DW. Without these I can't load to the server as the only copy of the ftp address and passwords are stored in the DW site caches. Can someone please help.
If you can, it would be far better to do it in Flash. DW can do this but not smoothly. And you need to make sure the .wav will load first to insure that its in the cache. Otherwise, well, its just not a good look. If you want to the follow up the Flash recommendation I am a Flash programmer...
i have copy and paste some text onto a page in DW. The text is now double spaced but every second line is closer.
example
line1
line2
line3
line4 etc
I get this, and other funny but annoying text formating problems a lot with DW. Anyway can someone advise me on how to fix this.
No this isn't possible in DW. This was most probably done in Fireworks on the Adobe eqivilant. You can do a similar thing in DW but you will have to make you up and down images in a graphix prg like p.shop or similar. hope this helps
I'm using a javascript mail form, which works fine. But I would like to modify the submit button so that on mousedown it also goes to a confirmation page. How do I right this into the javascript?
Hum, well firstly, preview before you export from fireworks. Make sure it looks the way you wont it too. Next, export the whole thing, not certain slices. And make sure FW exports the html. Then in DW, using the import FW function inport the FW html. the slice where your text is to go should be...

IceGirlAnn
You may find it easier to use a java script form. This will work on the browser rather than relying on your server. You can get a selection from http://javascript.internet.com or I can email you a good one. These are mush easier to install that cgi. All you have to do is copy and...
