I was wounder if there was a way to get backup copy of the following files via Veritas software. Information Store Data: priv.edb,pub.edb, and edb.log Directory Service Data: dir.edb, and edb.log

I having problems backing up the following files: priv.edb, pub.edb, edb.log, and edbxxxx.log. What do I need to do correct this, any help would be appreciated. Do I need to install a server agent and a Exchange agent on my Exchange server or just an Exchange agent?

Check in Veritas website for Tech id 234575. There it will show you how to have BE with the necessary permissions to backup your Exchange server.

There is a fix for this on the Veritas website. Check your local security policy. And make sure your settings for "Additional restrictions for anonymous connections" is set to "None, Relay on default permissions".
