We are also having the same problem, Windows 2003 Server, Exchange 2003, users with Outlook XP/2003 have no issues, but users with Outlook 2000 get the error that the server is unavailable, the only thing we have found that works is rebooting the Exchange server. Since the Exchange server is...
Great Job! wfbtr, wish you were around sooner. I finally got tired of trying to make it work, flattened the box, reinstalled Win2K3S, Exchange 2K3, and copied all of the content from the public folders using a backup PST. We are working now, but that was a real nightmare. If I ever have the...
Mike has been off for the last couple of days. We will not be implementing the new Firewall settings till the weekend. Thanks to all for the help, we will definitely let you know how it turns out.
Jim
OK I have dumped the NAT, GLOBAL and Static commands. Also added the NAT 0 and changed the route statement to the outside.
So if that is it I will implement them and let you know if it works.
Thanks for your help,
Mike
Thanks for the reply 308win. However, this is the first time that I have ever tried to configure a cisco firewall. Most of the configuration above is bits and pieces from different configuration examples. So to be honest I am not quite sure what it all means.
I want to protect the...

Well I have tried everything, including, deleted the Public Folder Store and restoring it from a PST folder, so that all System Folders would be gone. I still get the error. I have looked everywhere on the Net for this, and can't find and answer. I know I am not the only one who is having...
Well when you are right you are right, after sleeping for about 10 hours <grin>
I went back to the problem, flattened the server. Clean install of W2K3 Server - Standard, Clean install of E2K3 Server, set the relays for only my Primary Mail Server IP's(not Exchange) and set the MAIL FROM on...
Thanks, I needed that ;-) I am the owner of the ISP, so although I do all the work, I am also tied to the job ;-) I worked through the night, and decided this morning to flaten the server, and start over, with a new IP of course (since ORDB.org) will have my .8 blocked for awhile, good thing...
Forgive my ignorance, but how do I find that out? I know NT4 like the back of my hand, but 2K is new to me. I have looked through the entire Active Directory Users and Computers and can find nowhere that the Authenticated Users group exists.
Thanks,
Jim
Sorry, I may have been confusing there, I did the telnet test, and I got 250 2.1.5 advertiser123@yahoo.com - basically there was no "Relay Denied" message.
I did the test, and failed misserably. They (ORDB.org) are right, I am an OPEN RELAY! I have made no changes to my Server, except the one suggested by jblewis. I am not quite sure why things would be different on my server.
I read the article, it seems that I am going to have to enter...
Okay after reading the above, I did the fix that jblewis suggested, and then decided to test my brand new out of the box E2K3 server, I went to ORDB.org and submitted a test, this is what they said:
This is an automatically generated mail from ORDB.org.
Your submitted host XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX has...
