i wasnt using any software just using drive to load software to pc. About a year ago i upgraded the firmware with a trial firmware and it worked great but ihave since dumped and redone the OS. I will try to see if i can update it again and ill give the results thanks

Here is a new one for me If i try to install software with my dvd drive it goes just fine and when i Put in the second disk (if its a multi disk install). It will freeze up the whole system when i hit OK after the second disk is in, and i have to restart the machine to continue. XP PRO Lite on...

Fam good idea, but i havent tryed that yet. I looked into the NAV thing and i dont have a vers with that option either.... I finally went and just deleted the hosts file and wala the EI6 is up and running great. Weird that it could have been so plugged in just 2 or 3 days of a clean install...

ok ill give the lastest great news I have fixed my problems finnaly... I added the IPX protocol to all computers and i went into the tcp/ip advanced options and in the wins config. either disable it or set it to default.
