I am looking for the same thing, I remember years ago reading about how you can edit the pernames.ntf so that the location is already in there and ready to go. Trying to do a bit more research right now. Will post what I find.
Sad thing is it did not work. However if go into the notes.ini file on the user and replace h:\notes\data\ with \\servername\users\username\notes\data it will work. We do not get the error message any more. Once you have done it go into processors (task manager) and end process on explorer...
I am trying to setup a resource database, one of the criteria it that if a resource is booked the system must come back and tell the person who it is booked by. How can I look up busy time and return the chair of the meeting?
This is a design feature of windows. It will automaticaly close any session that has not been used for 15 minutes hence the red cross. Once you click on the mapped drive again it will send an authentication packet and reconnect to the drive. You can go to the registry and turn this feature off...
I am doing an unattended install of Windows and was wondering if anybody new how windows selects which driver to use. I have a drivers folder and the latest drivers in there, would windows search and use its own driver in preference to another just because of the order of things. For example...
Are you running Norton Antivirus. If so go to their website and have a look. From memory you need version 2.01 and up because the earlier versions when scanning will change the format of the email back. Not sure what other antivirus programs do. Took me a while to find this.

After many frustrating hours I have found out that a Windows NT4 and Windows 2000 server will drop a users session to a mapped drive after 15 minutes (the default) to save on session usage. This can be seen by a red cross being displayed on the mapped drive in explorer (sometimes it is not...

I have heard some good things about setting the notes.ini file with the line TCPIP=TCP, 0, 15, 2000. I have done this on a few people's machines and they are running faster. Has anybody done this setting or something similar for there entire network. What would be the impact if I did this for...
If you build the new server with use the same cert id as the server that you currently use for certifying users you can just copy and paste the users into the new names.nsf. However it is advisable to recertify all users once this is done. You could also just copy all the databases to the new...
Strange yeah I know, I have three servers which I want to upgrade to 5.0.10. The problem is I am very particular about the names.nsf, it has been updated from 4.6 to 5.0.5 to 5.0.7 and I want to start fresh.
Has anybody had any problems with running a newer public address book on an older...
I want to upgrade my primary notes server, I have two other servers and the names.nsf is replicating through out. I want to be able to install a virgin machine and configure a domino server from scratch, the problems are.
1. I have over 300 people and need to populate names with these people...
If you do a search at Notes.net in the Gold Forum for Phil Chang you will see that he has posted a fix, I am still to try it though.
I think I will look at updating the templater first.
Thanks
Aaron
