BACKUP TO IDE HD? COMMENTS....TIPS?
Hi Backu Guru's, Because my clients are all small offices and most can not afford tape backup systems, the only solution I can think of is backing up to an additional HD. The data to BU would be around 4 to 8 GB. I have had many experiances with HD failure (even new drives only a couple weeks...- asfscott

Tape unit requiring too much cleaning
I am having the same problem with an HPDat8 tape drive. The clean light contstantly comes on during backup, so I run the clean tape, but get the same response. I run 5 tapes, so I know it is not the tapes. Have you or anyone found out what can be done to resolve this problem? Thanks for any help...- asfscott
