    Arcserve 2000 on Windows Cluster

Have you thought about cleaning it out as much as possible and re-installing it on the node that is causing the issues? Maybe even performing a repair? If you can get away with that, then the uninstall should work thereafter. Just a Thought. g

    Disaster Recovery

In answer to your questions. You should boot from a W2K3 CD and click (F2 i think it is) for Automated System Recovery. Then insert the ARCserve created ASR disk. Throughout the whole motion it will ask for the ARCserve CD rom and your Win2K3 CD again. You may want to verify this in the DR...

Restoring from a Lotus Notes database backup.....

If it was backed up through a DBAGENT then it will need to be restored through a database agent. that said, you should be able to remotely restore this to another location (but it must be a database). Check the lotus notes user guide for more info. cheers, g

Intermittent Loss of Connection ??? NW 5.1

Hi Guys, Oddest thing. During the backup the NetWare server 5.1 latest support pack (5 i believe), i try pinging the server and get very erratic responses with large amounts of timeouts. That said, this server is only getting about 400 MB/minute in the backups. I know the problem isn't...

    Arcserve Job Status quits.

Hmmmm I am thinking a long erase is necessary in order to ensure the whole tape is formatted with the new compression ratio and DLT format. Try a long erase. g

Hi guys, Thanks for your help. The ASUS CROM is in a master configuration however I have them both on Cable Select. Should I change one to master and one to slave hard coded? I will try this. I have also updated the drivers to the 4 in 1 Hyperion VIA drivers which are basically the...

    Co-Existence BackupEXEC with ARCserve

General Rule of thumb is to only have one exchange agent on the system from one vendor. If you must have them both on there, make sure one agent is disabled in services when the other is working. If they are both on they will clash and come back with some issues. thanks, AG
