I came across this article from a year ago claiming Avaya was going to integrate Google Talk support into the IP Office product line.
http://www.voip-news.com/feature/avaya-google-talk-022807/
So far that is all that I've heard about it, even though the article claims it would be available in...
Makes sense, but why did it work initially?
I had it running for several days before (like a moron) I upgraded the firmware on it.
Is there really a difference between a 4620sw and a 4622sw? As far as I can tell the only difference is the 4622 has a backlight and no handset (call-center style...
I've got a problem identical to the one described in thread940-1138614, and haven't been able to figure out the cause.
I've got a 4622SW phone plugged into our voice network, and it was functioning correctly until I upgraded it to the newer version of firmware that was released in February 06...
I setup codes similar to this on our fax machines so they didn't require 9 and they couldn't call internally.

I created codes for 1N 2N 3N etc. Doesn't require a secondary dial tone, and you do hear ringing, etc, etc. I used a 'User...
Did you statically assign an IP Address, File Server and Gateway Server? Your home network probably doesn't have those values assigned via its DHCP server.
It seems strange that when you download the latest update file 46xxH323_040706.zip that it contains the file 4690_020005.bin. Is this same update file used by the Definity? That could explain why it shows support for the 4690.
Are there plans to support the 4690 in the future, or is there...
I've got a 4690, and have been unsucessful at getting it talking with IPO 406v2. What do you mean by 'alias'? Will it run the 4620 bin file (currently b20d01a2_3.bin or b20d01b2_4.bin)?
Thanks,
Andrew
Bummer, I was hoping to avoid having duplicate entries. If John Smith changes numbers it will have to be updated in two places. Oh well, if that's the only way then that's what I'll do.
Thanks,
Andrew
I've already done that, but it still allows direct voicemail access. I read elsewhere that by default each extension is automatically a trusted source for their associated voicemail box even if there is no V<ext> entry in the sourcenumber list.
I don't know where this 'default' is set, or if...
Has anyone figured out how to refer to a directory entry from a shortcode, or how to have a directory entry dial a shortcode?
I'd like to setup short codes for speed dials (**1139=95551212) AND have an entry in the directory that says John's Cell Phone and have it dial **1139. Unfortunately...
Thanks IPGuru, but you've got it backwards from what I want. I don't want to avoid the password, I want users to ALWAYS have to enter their password, even from their own extension. I want to avoid the 'Please enter your extension' prompt when a user checks voicemail from their own phone...
Could you explain the voicemail thing? It seems you accidentally accomplished what I've been unable to do on purpose. I've programmed a 'voicemailcollect' button on each phone, but it automatically enters the mailbox without prompting for a PIN Code. I've removed the V{ext} from the...
MForrence, does this build work with assisted transfers? For example if a receptionist were to announce via speaker "You have so-and-so on the line" and then transfer, would the phone ring? Or would it dump the caller to speakerphone since that's how the call was initiated?
Either way, how...
