When reaching a mailbox and dialing 0 the voicemail plays the general delivery prompt before sending the caller to the attendant extension. Is there a way to disable this prompt?
If you are hearing echo then the lines are too hot.
If you are 5000 feet from the CO then try to reduce the gains in some other way. What about the 7208 phones? What release are they? Do some phones echo and some do not? If that is true then are the release numbers the same?
Also you could try...
You set up the AA rings to answer to two rings to allow the caller ID to pass. Set up the prime set for each line to the receptionist DN and remove all ringing from each of the lines so you won't be bothered by any ringing before AA picks up.
Problem with tried and true TDM is eventually you will go broke like the Maytag repair man. If you don't want to migrate your customers to VoIP then someone else will. So better to learn now than ask the government for assistance in re-training later.
For those who think VoIP is only about...
You should never put more than 50 extensions into a hunt group. Or no more than 50 line appearances of any one line on as many sets. You are lucky the box is not warm booting.
Nortel used to put this into their documentation.

I'm thinking of signing on as a dealer.
Is this stuff any good?
What kind of problems should I expect?
Is it profitable?

I'm not interested in backwards compatibility.
Customer demands 4.0.4C
Customer gets 4.0.4C
In my opinion it can only be done as so:
-boot up NAM with monitor package
-remove folders using OS/2 window
-del ACCESS2
-del ST
-Install NVM using 2.1 CD loader and CD
-Upgrade to NVM version 3...
I have to downgrade a NVM 4.1 to version 4.04C!!!!
I have a working NVM with 4.1 software version
I have the required CD to install 4.04C
Is it possible to completely delete the NVM software and reinstall to the required version?
Anyone know the procedure?
