I have found a solution to this if you dont need to use the Local LPT1. Disable the port in the device manager, and it works!- APegg

I have exactly the same problem, I can use any other lpt port (2, 3 etc) Just not lpt1! I am using an old DOS app which requires lpt1.- APegg
