Unrestricted shares?
How do I make a share that does not require a password? I have trouble with my smbpasswd command not making changes to my passwd file, and therefore none of my computers can connect to my shares. Has anyone got any ideas?- animal1881

smbpasswd impotence
I set up a samba 3.0.2 server on animal. Everything else works just fine and the server is visible to all windows computers. The problem is I cannot add eligible usernames using smbpasswd. I log in as root and try smbpasswd -a animal1881 qwer and it says password changed for animal1881, but...- animal1881
