Just a friendly reminder to all that I am an idiot.
If you recall, in a earlier post, I made a reference to Declaring Cash Tips in Aloha. In this post, I mentioned that I mentioned I screwed around with the Store Collects Tips check box. Well, this was the same store, and I forgot to uncheck...
I probably haven't attained enough information to make this post yet, but I am going to make a quick reference to it just in case.
I have a store that claims the tips credit card tips are not being deducted from the cash owed, and thus are throwing off the Cash owed report at the end of night...
So essenitally what your saying, Bo, is that they simply use the sales categories at the end of the night to determine who should get what, by breaking out a calandar and tipping each group based on the amount?
You hit the nail on the head. This is a Japanese steakhouse. The manager is afraid...
Thanks for at least clearing that part up. Yeah, it's definitely a tough one. The reasoning for it almost silly, too. The manager explained to me that the servers tips go a long way to providing a good junk of the supports staff's salary by way of tip outs (i.e. tipping of bussers, chefs, etc)...
I should mention, I am familiar with the Declared Tips procedure at checkout, but I the manager wants something that tracks it along the way, as opposed to enter an total amount at the end of the night.
Hey everyone,
One of our stores wants to designate a cash drawer for a particular section of the restaurant, where all the servers in that section will use for sales and for all cash tips. I know the credit card tips are easily tracked, but the manager wants the cash tips entered too, and all...
I've actually seen this happen on occassion as well. In my experience, those two reports are the most inconsistent in the system. However, the amounts are usually not that far off. Unfortunately, there there isn't one thing that always causes it, making a quick fix kind of tough. For example, in...
Good to know what versions of Aloha are compatible with certain versions of OS. Thanks. However, I must say, I do have a couple of sites running 4.2xx on Win2k without issues. Maybe I got lucky, but I will certainly keep that in mind for next time. Just out of curiosity, Aloha1, what do you...
Well, I more or less assumed it has to be an issue with the OS. Let me be a little more clear here. When I say we upgrade the file server, I am only talking about the hardware and OS. The software and key were the exact same that have been working together for years, usually on NT 4.0. Moving...
I am not currently having a problem with this issue, but I have seen it a few times and figured I would see if anyone else has run into it.
Combining older security keys with Windows XP (Home or Pro) would result in the Aloha Back of House's inability to "see" the software key. For example, a...
I believe what Bo is saying is that you get what you pay for. I don't know if this is still the case since it's been nearly 6 years since I have done any work with POSiTouch, but it used to be that when you purchased their software, you pretty much got almost all of the add-ons included with it...
Ezcrane,
I like the sound of that, but it sounds complicated. I am guessing it's not as simple as opening one of those dbase files and putting in there. I would never be that lucky. :)
Generally speaking, you cannot choose a dealer. Aloha distributes software by zip code, and you have to buy from the dealer in that zip code, with few exceptions. You can purchase service from anyone... no rules governing that. But my guess it that you want the same guy who sells you the...
