I've completed the upgrade / migration to 2003.

What I found.
1.) In place upgrades worked fine, as long as I had W2k SP4 and the latest HP Support packs loaded (HP DL 360 servers) before the upgrade.
2.) Newly built servers worked fine as well (as expected)
3.) AD /...
We are in the process of merging 2 companies and need a way of moving the users Exchange Mailboxes and addresses from one Exchange 2000 server in FOREST\DOMAIN A, to a Exchange 2003 server in FOREST\DOMAIN B.
Is Exmerge the way to go here?
Is there some way of moving mailboxes between...
Just starting migrating my domain to Windows 2003 SP1.
On both of my new 2003 servers I cannot access the event viewer unless I log in with the Administrator account.
Other domain admin accounts get the following error when trying to view all event logs other than the security log:

Not sure if upgrading to 2003 is a big deal.
Everything i've read seems rather positive, but i thought i'd post my plan here for a peer review of sorts.
So here goes.
1 2000 domain in Native mode
4 DC's running Win2k SP3
3 DC's in Mead Office (FMSO housed here)(TS Licensing here)
1 DC in...
I've read MS KB Article: 830829 and changed the regsitry with the following value:

I had to delete my *.oab files before it would fully resync though, and then all was fine.
Forcing a download address book didn't seem to work until I deleted the cached copy of the GAL.
Maybe if I waited for a few more hours it...

Example:
I have a user I want to hide from the GLobal Address list.
I tick the Hide from Address Lists property on the user account and wait.
I open outlook and create a new e-mail. Hit...

Found something on a different forum that may help. This could be caused by a change in the Default Domain Controller Policy GPO. Make sure that the Exchange Enterprise Servers domain...
Weird my Default Domain Controller Policy seems unchanged...
I did notice Domain Prep ran very quickly during the install. It finished in about 2 seconds.
I assumed it worked fine as the install wizard checked it as successful, however given the Policy has not been updated it must have failed...
OK its not the Windows Firewall because it was never turned on.
If I run DCDiag from the Exchange 2003 server against all my DC's they all pass.
The account I installed Exchange 2003 under is a Schema Admin - Domain Admin - Enterprise Admin - Everything under the sun admin.
I've used Replmon to...
I thought I checked that before I started the install...

But admittedly I left it at that and did not look any deeper.
Is Windows Firewall Enabled by default after you install W2k3 SP1 or do you have to turn it on manually?
I've left the server...
I have 1 Exchange 2000 server running Exchange SP3 on a Windows 2000 Server running Windows SP3.
I have built a new Windows 2003 server with SP1 and installed Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2003 SP1.
Thinking that this would be a simple join the organization and move mailbox method of migrating...
