joemama613? Thank you very much for your response, but it`s not a solution of my problem. I have an utility software (for DOS) for my 3C980C NIC and I have tested my card using this software. All tests have completed succesfully. I`m sure something has happened with my SCO OpenServer 5.0.4...- Alex73

I have a similar problem with installation of the network card (3C980C - TXM) on SCO OpenServer 5.0.4. When I add NIC into the system using NETCONFIG I see the message "Bad string", but it does not interrupt the installation and then I see the message "Installation completed...- Alex73
