I already tried that. It's not very usable data. I need something that I can view in Excel or Access so I can perform searches and run reports. I just found a program called SofTrack. It more for controlling application permissions and metering, but it does audit file usage.
I need a good software package that will creat an audit trail for when users read, write, create and delete files on our Windows 2000 file server. Any suggestions?
I using a Windows 2000 server with AD. I set up auditing under group policies. I used the DomainUser group since everyone belongs to that group. I also set up auditing on specific folders, again using DomainUsers group. But, under the Security log, the only events I see are login/logout. I had...
I'm trying to set up an Exchange 2003 server. So far, things look like they are working, but I get a sync error message for the offline address list. When I check the properties under Administrator, Server, etc, there is no offline address list and I can't browse for one - unless I create one...
As it turns out, this problem had nothing to do with Exchange 2003. There is a problem with update KB913807. Once I removed that Outlook 2003 update, the task functionality returned to normal. For anyone who has not installed this update, but has the same problem, an earlier update, KB892843...
There are no Exchange mailboxes. I deleted them. There's no Exchange email accounts. I deleted those too. But assigned tasks still will not open.
I finally just removed Outlook 2003 from my computer, reinstalled it and now my tasks work again. I'll do the same on the other two computers...
This wasn't a problem until I created the Exchange email account in each of our Outlooks. If I removed the Exchange account and deleted the mailbox on the Exchange server, why do I have to now assign permissions to tasks? Also, the person(s) assigning the task never had an Exchange mailbox or...
I am installing Exchange Server 2003. I created mailboxes for myself and two other users so I could test Exchange. Exchange works, the shared calendar in the public folders works fine, but now neither of us can open an assigned task that someone else sends to us. We can view the task in the...
There is no permission tab in Properties for my calendar. I set up another user and that person's calendar does have the permission's tab, although it doesn't work.
I did figure out how to use the Public Folder for shared calendars. Now I do have a shared calendar for everyone to use. So maybe...
I'm trying to set up a new Exchange Server 2003. Presently, I'm only configuring my Outlook 2003. I can set up the Exchange mailbox and account on my Outlook, but, when I check the properties for my Exchange Calendar, I am missing any tabs for sharing the calendar. What do I have to do to turn...
My company uses a Nortel Meridian Option 11C. The ACD is too basic, so we need a better system for the tech support department. This is only a 4 person group. Are we stuck getting Symposium Express, or are there other ACD systems available that will work with this Nortel phone system?
I'm presently learning how to install Exchange Server 2003 using the 120 day trial software. I will eventually buy the software and install in on our network. I want to install it on a workstation that is running Windows 2000 server. It has 2gb of ram, 160GB hard drive and a 2.8GHz processor. I...
I forgot to mention, this is only a single, 160GB drive. I did check under Manage, and that's where I discovered that Windows is only recognizing 130 GB on the drive. Yet, when I initially installed Windows 2000 server, the drive size was 160GB. I only partitioned 30GB for the operating system...
