my question was with the equipment listed above is it possible to activate the lines on the ip phones or do you need a Cisco router with vic cards or some other interface. Should I have posted this in a different section?

Thanks for the reply..the cordless phone and base station came together, so I don't know what ss code it was given previously. I've gone through the set up several times and I get the same results every time. I verified the dip switch settings were correct (Down, up, down)

Assuming their extensions don't match their did's. You can either go in to the lines and see if they have assigned the extensions related to that line as the prime set. If not, you'll probably have to go in to the lines and get the recieve digits from each target line, once you find the one...
