I'm not sure this is possible but I am looking for a way to specify where to place a decimal point in a number in Excel. I receive a file that contains two columns that look like this:
6 99796875
3 108237
2 9993
0 100
I want to place a decimal in the number in the second column based on...

I have a report that is grouped by salesperson then by account number. GH1a displays the salesperson's name, the total value of all the accounts they cover, the total commission generated from those accounts and a calculation showing total commission as a percentage of total assets...
Never mind, you already gave me the answer. When I clicked "suppress blank section" for the section containing my subreport, that seemed to eliminate my blanks. Thanks.
LB,
My report is working as expected but I have one more question. My end users are interested in cases where the commissions charged over a certain timeframe are greater than 3% of the account value. I created a formula {@percent charged} consisting of {@com total} % {@Total Acct Value} and...

I am trying to use a total from a subreport in my main report and I'm not sure I'm on the right track. My main report has two groups: Salesperson and Account. My subreport (using a differnt historical table) is grouped the same way.
Main report:
GH1: Salesperson name
GH2: Account...
Thank you. My cancel indicator field is a string and it either contains the number 1 or is blank (go figure). I could not get the group selection formula to work because "isnull" was not picking up on the blanks in that field. Apparently an empty/blank string field is not necessarily null. I...
My date is a datetime and I can display the most recent record after grouping as you suggested. The issue is when an order is cancelled, that same order # is used on the "cancel" record and both are replaced with a new order with a new number. When I group by order number, I end up keeping the...

I'm writing a report using a single order table. An order is placed and assigned a unique order number. That order may later be cancelled (same order number) and replaced (new order number) when something is adjusted. I now have three line items for the same order. My goal is to...
I ran across a post the other day that I believe answered this question but I cannot find that thread now. I have a report grouped by salesperson and sorted by order number. Certain records have the same order number. I have a running total which looks at the previous order number and excludes...
Thanks. I was using a left join but the record selection criteria was in the table containing the transactions. I've done this exact thing before but it didn't click until you mentioned it. I will come up with a different way to limit my data. I think I'm back on track.
This is probably pretty easy and I apologize if this has been answered before (please point me in the right direction). I'm using Crystal 9 and would like a group name to show on my report even when there is no data to display.
My report is grouped first by salesperson then by trade date...
