Wile666, your problem is that you don't have the firewall update patch for ePo. Let me see if I can find the link for you.
Actually it is in the ZIP of the firewall download. It is in a folder called epo Update for firewall and must be run on every console running ePo.
Hope that helps.

To fix this, select the server in your ePo console. Click on the Policies Tab, go to the Access Protection Policies area of VirusScan Enterprise 8.0, make sure you select server and not workstation in the drop down box, unclick inherit, uncheck "Prevent Mass Mailing Worms from Sending Mail"...
Just so everyone knows I have found out what the issue is.
As part of the 3.5 console installation, the program tries to set the server service to automatic. Since our network people disable this using GPOs the install program could not do this. Instead of telling me that was happenning, it...
HI Feng,
As soon as I click setup. I tried running it from home last night and the setup did continue. I also stopped the server service and I got the same error. The thing that doesn't make sense is when I start the server service at work, I still get the same error. McAfee can't tell me...
Has anyone had any issues installing the remote console on XP machines? I am getting an error that server service is not running. I don't see why this would be even looked for on a workstation.
Server installed with no issues.
Can someone please help me???
Thanks!

One thing that has worked very well for me has been to create a new install using McAfee Installation Designer 8.10
I created a new install of the firewall, which allowed me to create a policy that it is installed with. This works extremely well. All of my firewall issues have been solved.

Hi Gary,
Well here is what is happenning with me now. I created a firewall package with Installation designer and customized the firewall policy making sure I had everything I needed to boot. When I deploy it using ePo, it seems to work fine.
I tried installing the same EXE just by double...
Framepkg refers to framepkg.exe which is the agent installation program. You would run setup.exe instead of framepkg with whatever switches you want to use.
Setup.exe will be in the McAfee.zip file you download from McAfee and has no connection to Framepkg at all.
I hope that helps.
