For rebooting Netgear, I unplugged/plugged the power supply to Netgear router while being connected with ZERO results.
I guess the hyperterminal never got connected even though it says "Connected". I cannot type even a single character on the HT screen...
Configuration is as per Netgear 314 manual.
Com1, 9600 baud and Flow Control = None.
Using (serial to serial) cable (male/female connector of small widths)
Hyperterminal gets connected, but I cannot type any character.
before generating spool file, please change the page size setting from the environment settings menu.
Just increase values so that you get one line per record and increase the page length as well.
Then browse the text file created by the SPOOL command.
I am using Windows 2000 Prof.
I need to access Netgear router through the serial port cable to send a file to the router.
The problem is that I do not know how to set up serial port terminal on Windows. I played with hyper terminal but nothing.
