I found it is the McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.0.0 that's screwing everything up. Now i've just got to figure out what would be causing mcafee to cause such an initial slowdown. Is there any way to disable it's network scanning features one by one??

We had the exact same problem, disabling the APC PowerChute services fixed the problem right away. We had to go into safe mode to disable the service.

Nevermind, You first have to update the GL accounts for all companies to the new version before your VI jobs will work.

Actually I figured it out, I was trying to use mandatory profiles for groups of users. It works if I use individual mandatory profiles, but not if multiple people use the same man profile. Kind of wierd..oh well, it seems to be working fine now.
