What is the best way to get a DVD from a AE project. Output as Uncompressed avi and use an external program/Premiere to convert it to mv2. Or is there an easier way? and if I have to go through another program is the difference between uncompressed and dv noticable?

doesnt matter. and for the resolution. If u arent zooming in use the resolution of the videoformat and the images will match perfectly without any need for scaling.

since you arent printing, dpi is irrelevant. what is relevant is the actual size in pixels.

Does anyone know if the latest Durons(1,6, 1.8 GHz) support SSE so that premiere pro works? Have an old Athlon 1200 and need to buy a new _cheap_ processor to get Premiere to work.

u should avoid trying to edit mpeg files. Adobe Premiere isnt a big fan of mpeg files. Buy a new large disk instead, fairly cheap these days. If u really need smaller files I suggest trying to use some .avi codec or quicktime. Make testfiles and open them in premiere and see if they are ok to edit.

G-spot is a nice little util. that can check what codecs a videofiles uses.

what I usually do is export it in premiere with divx5.05pro video codec and uncompressed audio. Then import it in virtualdub, with Video:Direct Stream Copy and Audio:Fulll Processing Mode. Then choose mp3 in Audio->Compression and File->Save as AVI
