Yes.Applets can very much read and write from the database.As far as resourses are concerned I dont know any web resourses.But writing such a code is not too difficult.You can refer any J2EE book and do it. Abhijit -

You can use http post for passing parameters and pass through the firewall.Ofcourse this is possible in servlets.I dont know about CGI scripts,but a similer ieda may be used. Abhijit
