check the specifications for all sticks of memory it maybe you have some lets say needing 2.5v and one that needs 2.9v, and bios is set to 2.6v, which would cause a similar hang up, also as stated above, check memory settings in bios and set them to auto.

could be the vid card, have you got a spare or one you could borrow to try?
could take cmos battery out to reset bios too, youd be amazed how many times that can cure a seemingly dead pc
if memory was damaged youd also get a black screen, take memory out and see if cmos creates the beep code...
sounds like a motherboard v graphics card incompatibility, check bios updates for motherboard and see if there is your card mentioned in an update.
If not ask motherboard manufacturer if theres any compatibility issues with that type of card.
If you check up on this motherboard youll see its very picky with memory especially DDr400 pc3200, i have had the reboot problem with this very board and also on the one i had before it (msi kg7n2-ilsr).
Running memory underclocked sorted it (eg. 333ddr @ 266), until i bought decent/recomended...

well i have a vocano 7 and yes it is noisy, but i turned mine down to 3000 rpm with antec silver paste and my XP1800 runs @ 32c idle so cant be that bad surely ;)
