    outlook file extensions?

    My computer crashed (windows 2000), and backed up most of my files in a ".bak" folder, but I have not been able to locate any of my outlook e-mails. What is the file extension (for outlook e-mails) I should be searching for? Any ideas where windows would have saved these to? Thanks!
