We fixed our problem. We had to add another license key for the Remote Agent and then it worked.
As far as backing up workstations go, you can back up shared files on that workstation without a remote agent.

We run this on Netware 4.11 and the scheduler is installed on Windows 98. The adapter is an Adaptec AHA2940 and the tape drive is a DLT4000. Thanks!
Almost every weekend when I run our Full Back Ups, at least one file gets this error (E3011 Failed to open file) and also the back up job hangs the server and will not allow me to delete the active job. I also noticed that usually the server has crashed as well. Any suggestions? Thanks!
